It is a heteromeric complex consisting of 3 catalytic subunits encoded by mitochondrial genes and multiple structural subunits encoded by nuclear genes. Cytochrome C Oxidase subunit Vb (COX5B) is one of the nuclear-coded polypeptide chains. Subcellular Location: Mitochondrion inner membrane. Similarity: Belongs to the cytochrome c oxidase subunit 5B family.
